Using Password Protection in Online Questionnaires

Online questionnaires are great tools of obtaining customer feedback. The password protection feature adds to the usefulness of such means of soliciting opinions. Respondents need to be provided with a password to take questionnaires. Companies can easily add or remove each password, so that they can use the password protection feature really efficiently.

Companies can also use the opportunities to create unique logins or passwords for each respondent that takes the questionnaire, if they deem it is necessary for their online questionnaire. They can use the menu to select named collectors, then they can change the restrictions to enable password protection. The protection is really easy to accomplish. They have to enter the password they have selected, and then they just have to save the new settings to activate the password protection.

When individual passwords are chosen to provide security and confidentiality, the distributors of online questionnaires have to distribute the individual passwords to all respondents who are to take the questionnaires. For example, they can email links by means of their own email client, in individual messages containing the questionnaire link and the unique code for the specific recipient. Individual messages have to be sent to each of the recipients who are to take the questionnaire concerned. Another option is to send the questionnaire link is via a mail server, with a custom data field for each address provided in the distribution list. The custom data entered is the individual code of each recipient. Respondents should type the codes into the first question on the online questionnaires they start taking.

Companies can efficiently develop their questionnaires and send multiple versions of them, or multiple questionnaires. They can easily send reminders and track the respondents to online questionnaires. Furthermore, they can provide advanced questionnaire security and confidentiality, by means of password protection.
